Smart Add-Ons License & Subscription Terms

The plugin code is GPL. Your license key is a yearly subscription to updates, support, Pro features and Dhyan Cloud services.

1. About these terms

These Smart Add-Ons license terms apply when you buy, activate or use a Smart Add-Ons license key from Dhyan Software Private Limited (“Dhyan Software”, “we”, “us”). They add to our Terms of Service and Refund Policy. If they conflict, these terms apply to Smart Add-Ons license keys.

2. The software is licensed under the GPL

The Smart Add-Ons plugin, including the Dhyan SDK bundled inside it, is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or (at your option) any later version (opens in new tab). You may use, study, change and share the code under the GPL’s terms. A copy of the license ships in the plugin’s LICENSE file.

Third-party code bundled with the plugin keeps its own license, listed in the plugin’s THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md file. WordPress and WooCommerce are separate products under their own GPL licenses.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the GPL. The rest of this page covers your Smart Add-Ons license key and the services it unlocks, not the code.

3. What a Smart Add-Ons license key includes

While your license key is active, the sites it is activated on get:

  • Updates: new plugin versions through WordPress’s normal update screen and from your account.
  • Support: email and ticket support from our team through the Dhyan Cloud account portal at app.dhyansoftware.com.
  • Pro features (Pro plan): creating and editing Pro-only options such as formula pricing, and AI upsell suggestions (50 AI requests per license per month).
  • Cloud services: license management, add-on analytics and the other Dhyan Cloud features described on the Smart Add-Ons product page.

4. Site limits

Each plan allows a set number of production sites: Starter, 1; Pro, 3. Every plan also allows 3 non-production sites, counted separately.

A site counts as non-production if its address is localhost or a loopback IP address, ends in .local, .test or .localhost, or starts with one of these subdomains: staging., stage., dev., test., demo., sandbox. or preview.. Every other address counts as production.

You can deactivate a site at any time from the plugin or the account portal, which frees its slot for another site.

5. Your Smart Add-Ons license key is personal to you

Keep your license key private. Do not publish it, share it outside your business, or use it on more sites than your plan allows. A license key is not transferable unless we agree in writing. If you build sites for clients, each client site counts toward your plan’s limit while your key is activated on it.

6. Term and renewal

A license key runs for one year from purchase. We never charge you automatically. To renew, buy the same plan again from our store: the new year is added to your existing key, starting from its expiry date or the renewal date, whichever is later.

Buying a different plan gives you a new license key at that plan’s price.

7. When a Smart Add-Ons license expires

Your store keeps working. Add-ons you already set up keep showing and pricing correctly on your product pages, and your saved settings are kept.

From the expiry date, with no grace period, the key stops giving updates, support, Pro authoring and AI suggestions. Renewing restores them straight away.

The plugin confirms your license with Dhyan Cloud in the background. If it cannot reach Dhyan Cloud for more than 24 hours, Pro authoring pauses until the next successful check. Your storefront is not affected.

8. Refunds

Refunds follow our Refund Policy: a full refund for any reason within 30 days of your first purchase, and renewal refunds within 30 days minus a 15% admin fee. A refunded license key is deactivated. You keep your GPL rights to any code you downloaded.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or deactivate a license key that is shared publicly, used beyond its site limit, bought fraudulently, charged back, or used to abuse our cloud services. We will tell you why by email when we can. This affects only the key and the services it unlocks, never your rights to the code under the GPL.

10. Earlier plans

We now sell the Starter and Pro plans. License keys bought earlier on other plans, such as Agency or Enterprise, stay valid on the site limits and terms they were sold with until they expire.

11. Trademarks

“Smart Add-Ons”, “Dhyan”, “Dhyan Cloud” and the Dhyan Software logos are trademarks of Dhyan Software Private Limited. The GPL covers the code, not these names or logos. If you share a modified copy of the plugin, give it a different name and do not suggest that we made or support it.

12. No warranty and limited liability

As the GPL says, the software is provided “as is”, without warranty. Our liability for license keys and cloud services is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply to purchases and renewals made after that date and never reduce what you already paid for in your current term.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Vadodara, Gujarat have jurisdiction, without taking away any consumer protection that the law of your own country gives you.
