Date Field
Date field with a date picker for event dates, delivery scheduling, or personalised date engravings.

Settings reference

- In WordPress, go to Smart Add-Ons → Add-On Groups and open a group, or click + Add group.
- Click + Add field.
- Enter a Field label and set Field type to Date.
- Under Date settings, set an Earliest date and Latest date if only some dates are allowed.
- Leave the price at 0, or enter a Fixed price if choosing a date is a paid service.
- Click Save group, then open a product the group applies to and check the field.
Example: delivery date for a cake order
A bakery adds a date field labelled “Pickup date”, ticks Required field and sets the Earliest date to the first day orders can be ready. Customers pick a date from the calendar; a date outside the allowed range is rejected with a clear message. The cart and order show the date in your site’s date format, for example “Pickup date: August 15, 2026”.
Date field FAQ
Can I block weekends or specific days?
Not in version 1.0. You can set an earliest and a latest date. Blocking individual days is not available yet.
Are the earliest and latest dates fixed or relative to today?
They are fixed calendar dates that you enter. If your lead time moves, update the Earliest date.
Which date format is used?
The picker follows the customer’s browser. In the cart, emails and order screen, the date uses the format set in WordPress under Settings → General.
