License Activation
Activate Smart Add-Ons license key to unlock auto-updates and, on the Pro plan, advanced features.

Activate your license
- In WordPress admin, go to Smart Add-Ons → License.
- Paste your license key into the input field. The key format is:
ADDF-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX - Click Activate License.
- The status indicator will change to Active and show your plan name (Starter or Pro).
Your license key was emailed to you at purchase. You can also find it in your customer portal at app.dhyansoftware.com → Licenses (opens in new tab).
What happens after activation
- Your license status is stored on your site and verified periodically in the background through WP-Cron
- Plugin updates are available while your license is active — new versions appear in Plugins → Updates
- Your plan’s features are applied immediately (for example, A/B testing and AI suggestions are available on Pro)
- Your existing storefront configuration keeps working independently of license status

Deactivating a license
- Go to Smart Add-Ons → License.
- Click Deactivate License.
- The activation slot on the Dhyan Cloud is freed immediately.
- You can now activate the same key on a different site.
You can also deactivate from your customer portal: app.dhyansoftware.com → Licenses → View Activations.
License error codes
| Error code | Meaning | Fix |
|---|---|---|
INVALID_KEY | The key is not recognized or is for a different product | Double-check the key in your customer portal. Keys start with ADDF-. |
ACTIVATION_LIMIT_REACHED | All production or non-production activations on your plan are used | Deactivate another site of the same type (production or non-production) first, or upgrade your plan. |
DOMAIN_MISMATCH | The site URL does not match the activation record | Deactivate the old record from the customer portal, then reactivate. |
EXPIRED | Your annual license has expired | Renew from app.dhyansoftware.com. |
UNREACHABLE | Could not connect to Dhyan Cloud | Check your server's internet access. Your storefront is not affected; Smart Add-Ons keeps using your last known license information until it can confirm your license again. |
Activation limits
Each plan includes a number of production and non-production activations. Starter: 1 production site and 3 non-production sites. Pro: 3 production sites and 3 non-production sites. Local, staging, development, test, demo, sandbox, and preview environments are recognized as non-production from the site address; any other site address counts as production.
License status
Your storefront keeps running on your site regardless of license status — Smart Add-Ons is not remotely disabled. License status affects Pro authoring, updates, support, and AI/cloud services. The License screen shows one of these states:
- Active — your license is confirmed. Updates, support, Pro authoring, and applicable AI/cloud services are available according to your plan.
- Expired — your subscription term has ended. Your existing configuration keeps working. Renew to restore updates, support, and AI/cloud features.
- Revoked — the license was revoked. This does not disable Smart Add-Ons on your site, but Pro authoring, updates, and support are unavailable until the license is reactivated.
- Unverified — Smart Add-Ons could not confirm your license recently and is using your last known license information. If this persists, check that WP-Cron is running or reactivate your license.
- Not activated — no license key is active on this site.
